Materials

What Goes Into Every Frame

No shortcuts. No substitutions. Every component is chosen for permanence.

Glazing

TruVue Conservation Glass

Filters 99% of UV light to prevent fading and discoloration. Your print looks the same in twenty years as it does today.

* The Artisan tier receives Museum AR glass, which adds anti-reflective coating for virtually invisible glazing.

Matboard

Crescent RagMat

100% cotton rag, acid-free, lignin-free. The same fiber museums use for long-term preservation. Won't yellow, won't foxspot, meets Library of Congress standards for permanence.

Frame Stock

Solid Hardwood

No MDF, no veneers, no composites. Every frame is milled from kiln-dried domestic or exotic hardwood. The grain is part of the art.

Finish

Rubio Monocoat

Zero-VOC, single-coat hardwax oil that bonds molecularly with the wood. Enhances natural grain and deepens in color over the years.

Backing

Acid-Free Foam Core

Archival-grade backing board protects the rear of your artwork from moisture, dust, and environmental contact.

Hardware

D-Rings & Braided Wire

Stainless steel hanging hardware rated for the weight of the frame. Ready to hang the moment it arrives.
